Pastor and Mrs. Puckett have led ALUPC since July of 1986.
Pastor Puckett first began preaching in 1973 and received his ministerial license in 1978. He is known for standing up for the truth and always seeking to follow God's will as closesly as possible. He serves on the North Dakota District board for United Pentecostal Church International, and in the past he has served on the National board for Sunday School, as well as the District Youth Committee in Arizona. He has preached revivals around the country, and is a popular speaker in the North Dakota district.
Mrs. Puckett serves on the Ladies Committee for the North Dakota district. She has spoken at many Ladies Banquets and Ladies Retreats in the North Dakota district, and is known for her singing abilities.
Rev. and Mrs. Mohl moved to Williston in 2002. Upon arriving, they sought any way to become more involved with the church, and seeking a closer walk with God. Since coming, they have helped in many ministries within the church.
In 2007, Rev. Mohl received his ministerial license, and in the 2008 Annual Church Business Meeting he was voted unanimously as the Assistant Pastor. Since that time he has been instrumental in organizing outreaches and ministries within the church, including Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University, and serving on the Annual Alive In Harmon Park Committee. Rev. Mohl was elected ND Home Missions Secretary in July 2009, and also serves as the ND District Ministers Training Coordinator.
Mrs. Mohl has been the head teacher in the Nursery class for several years, serves on the Sunday School Committee, and sings in the choir and on the praise team.
Together, Rev. and Mrs. Mohl also are actively involved in children's ministry. Rev. Mohl dresses up in character as JJ the Clown and also involves various puppets and 'magic' tricks in his work. JJ the Clown travels to other churches and camps to minister, as well as serving in Williston.
Together with children, Izabell, Elizabeth, and Jeremiah, their family is a beautiful asset to our church.
Rev. & Mrs. Tony Puckett serve ALUPC in many different capacities. For many years, Rev. Puckett served as Music Director, Sunday School Director, and Youth Minister. He is responsible for forming the choir, (which began as a youth choir when he was a teenager), and bringing the music of ALUPC to the level it is at today. He began teaching Sunday School when he was in the seventh grade, and when the Sunday School Director at the time moved, he stepped up to the plate taking his place. When his brother who was the Youth Pastor passed away from leukemia, he stepped up to the plate to 'temporarily' fill the slot of Youth Leader. In 2008, was voted in as Youth Pastor of ALUPC. Rev. Puckett was elected ND Youth Secretary in July 2009, and ND Youth President in March 2011.
Sis. Amber Puckett began teaching Sunday School several years after Rev. Puckett, and eventually began assisting him in the Nursery/Beginners Classrooms. She is always at her husbands side, assisting in the many different responsibilities that get passed to a Youth Pastor who is also the son of the Pastor, whether it be fundraising, administrative roles, or just cleaning the church. She serves as the Sunday School secretary, serves on a Praise Team, sings in the choir, and assists wherever needed.
Together with their children, J.D., Peyton, and KaiAna, the Puckett family has served ALUPC for many years!
